As we navigate through dense forests and follow river paths, keep your eyes peeled for local wildlife; you might spot the elusive Cretan wild goat (kri-kri) or majestic birds of prey circling above. Upon reaching the plateau, we pause to capture photos of the imposing Mount Gigilos, which towers over 2,000 meters.
Kallergi Refuge: Above the Clouds: The journey intensifies as we take a more adventurous off-road trail toward the Kallergi Refuge, perched at 1,680 meters above sea level. This is where the magic happens: depending on the weather, we may literally pass through the clouds.
